WORKING TOGETHER / ACORIVO

Project guidelines.

A clear project should have clear boundaries. These are our standard working guidelines before a project agreement is signed.

What you're buying

Each website project has a written proposal identifying the number of pages, agreed layouts, features, deliverables, price, and target timeline. Our published package prices are starting prices for a defined scope, not unlimited development or consulting.

Pages, content, and client responsibilities

Standard pages are ordinary marketing pages, such as Home, About, Services, Gallery, and Contact. Unless the proposal says otherwise, clients provide approved text, branding, photos, and accurate business details; register and control their own domain, hosting, and third-party accounts; and provide timely feedback and approvals. Major copywriting, brand identity work, photography, and purchasing assets are excluded.

Additional pages and custom projects

Starter covers up to three standard pages and Business covers up to six standard pages. A standard page is one additional navigable page that uses the website's approved design system and does not require a new feature, special integration, or substantially different layout. Additional standard pages start at $250 each when the client supplies approved copy and images. For example, a six-page Business project with two additional standard pages starts at $2,250.

Large or complicated pages, entirely new layouts, additional services requiring substantial content creation, booking or payment systems, customer logins, databases, and third-party integrations are quoted individually. A project with extra standard pages does not automatically become a custom-software build. For unusually large sites, we may recommend a new overall project quote. All additions require written agreement on cost, scope, and schedule before work begins.

Revisions and change requests

Starter includes one revision round; Business includes two. One round means a single consolidated list of reasonable edits within the agreed design and features. A new creative direction, new page, major layout overhaul, new functionality, or further revision rounds are outside the original scope.

We explain the cost and get written approval before doing extra work. Smaller requests are normally quoted at $85 per hour with a one-hour minimum; larger changes can receive a fixed-price proposal. There is no obligation to purchase additional work.

Payment and timing

For standard website projects, 50% is due before work begins and the remaining 50% before launch or final handoff. The approved proposal and signed service agreement set the actual payment milestones, delivery dates, and scope. Timelines depend on receiving the required materials and feedback; delays or new requirements may change the schedule.

What isn't included

Unless expressly listed in a proposal: domain renewals, hosting fees, premium themes or plugins, licensed images/fonts, subscriptions, complex third-party integrations, ecommerce, payment processing, authenticated user systems, regulated or sensitive-data workflows, search ranking guarantees, analytics reporting, ongoing content creation, and continuous maintenance. These services can be discussed and separately scoped where appropriate.

Ownership and handoff

You should hold your domain and service accounts in your own name. After full payment, ownership or licensing of the website deliverables follows the signed agreement. Third-party software and media retain their own license terms. We provide the agreed handoff materials and access as described in the proposal.

Pauses and cancellations

If a project is paused or canceled, we review the work completed, approved commitments, and any nonrefundable third-party costs under the signed service agreement. Whether any deposit is refundable, and any remaining amount due, will be determined by that agreement rather than this summary page.

Optional monthly website care

Essential Care (proposed from $49/month) would include one scheduled monthly public-page and link check plus up to 15 minutes of small text or image edits. Priority Care (proposed from $99/month) would include one scheduled monthly check plus up to 60 minutes of such edits. These plans only become available to a client after we confirm capacity, access, and specific response expectations in a separate signed agreement.

Edit time does not roll over. Care is not automatic monitoring or 24/7 coverage and does not include new pages, redesigns, major features, urgent incident response, hosting, or third-party charges. The separate service agreement defines response expectations, billing, and cancellation. No monthly care is activated merely by purchasing a website.

Which terms control?

This page is a public explanation of Acorivo's usual approach. It is not a signed contract. Your specific signed service agreement and statement of work govern the project, including change requests, refunds, ownership, acceptance, and cancellation.
